Chief Operating Officer Brook Medina Logan, CPA has extensive experience in both corporate and start-up environments. As COO, she leads the G&A teams and oversees all aspects of financing, forecasting, and strategic planning.

Before joining The Gildred Companies in 2022, Brook was the CFO of Emerald Textiles which she joined at inception and where she built the infrastructure for all G&A operations. She led the accounting, marketing, IT, legal and human resources groups there. She was instrumental in the sale of the company with Piper Jaffray’s assistance for 15 times EBITDA.

Before Emerald Textiles, Brook was in key accounting and management roles with Eli Lilly. Formerly at SGX Pharmaceuticals, she assisted with the company’s successful IPO before Eli Lilly’s acquisition. Prior to her time at SGX, she was with Ernst & Young’s tax department.

Brook is a native San Diegan and obtained bachelor’s and master’s degrees from San Diego State after graduating from Santa Fe Christian Schools. She volunteers at the Blind Community Center of San Diego as treasurer and with the Daughters of the American Revolution, a women’s service organization. When she’s not engaged in genealogy research, she enjoys watching the Padres and growing pineapples. Brook loves the beach and spending time with her husband, two sons, and their pet turtle, Timmy.
