Lew Gildred is an experienced real estate banking executive and partner at the real estate investment banking firm of David B. Norton Inc. With a proven track record for transaction sourcing, underwriting, due diligence, client management, and deal closing, Lew joined the firm in 2007.  David B. Norton Inc. is a specialized real estate firm known for providing comprehensive advisory services and tailored financial structures to clients, across a wide range of different types of commercial real estate properties.

Over the last 6 years, Lew participated in the origination, underwriting, and closing of more than $250,000,000 in conventional loans, mezzanine loans, and equity investments throughout the United States. With expertise across a wide range of financial instruments, he orchestrates deals across all types of commercial real estate including mixed use and multifamily developments, and value-add and re-positioned properties of all types.

Before joining David B. Norton Inc., Lew was a Senior Associate at PacTen Partners, a real estate development company, where he was responsible for directing the underwriting, financing, entitlement, and asset management for multiple residential and commercial real estate projects, including development.  Lew joined PacTen Partners in 2004 and during his time there he managed multiple real estate development transactions including a condominium conversion in Monterey, California, and three large condominium/mixed use development sites in Century City, Valencia, and Oakland, California.  In 2006, Lew facilitated and directed the venture spin-off of Pacific Heights Holdings from PacTen Partners.  Serving as Senior Vice President at Pacific Heights Holdings, Lew continued the oversight of the numerous planned developments originally operated under the PacTen Partners entity.

Prior to his tenure at PacTen Partners and Pacific Height Holdings, Lew was the Corporate Development Director for Executive Education at UCLA Anderson School of Management.  During his eight years at UCLA Anderson, Lew consulted with numerous Fortune 500 corporations to develop unique management initiatives, matching UCLA’s breadth and depth of resources with nuanced client needs.  Lew spearheaded the rapid development of original, wide-ranging E-Business corporate education programs for a top consulting firm and a major multinational electronics manufacturer and content provider, establishing Anderson’s market presence in this arena.  Lew was responsible for supervising the sales, design, and execution of more than 35% of the business unit’s annual revenue.

Lew received his bachelor’s degree at UCLA, and later received his MBA at UCLA Anderson School of Management.
