Louis Sterle is the Gildred Companies’ Operating Engineer. With a background encompassing over 25 years of military and civilian service, he is skilled in the testing, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of various computer-controlled systems, including electronic, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. Additionally, he brings valuable expertise in operating, maintaining, installing, and testing HVAC equipment. As the Gildred Companies’ Operating Engineer, Louis is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of the entire Gildred Companies San Diego portfolio.

Louis held positions at Pacific Rim Mechanical and Ontario Refrigeration earlier in his career. He also served as the Maintenance Manager at JELD-WEN Windows and Doors, where he efficiently managed a large team and oversaw all maintenance operations. During his tenure in the U.S. Navy as a Fire Controlman for a decade, Louis gained experience handling advanced weapons systems and electronic equipment.

Outside of his time at work, Louis pursues his passions for golf, baseball of all levels, and enjoying an evening sitting by the campfire with friends.
