Elizabeth Gildred is a community volunteer and retired fundraising professional. She is the immediate past chair of the Sharp HealthCare Foundation Board where she was pleased to follow in the footsteps of her father, Philip L. Gildred, Jr., who in 1979 served as founding chair. She continues to be actively engaged in Sharp in a variety of volunteer capacities. 

Most recently she was employed as the Director of Development at Horizon Prep, a private K-12 school in Rancho Santa Fe, California. Currently, she is serving as Treasurer of The Wednesday Club which is a local women’s organization founded in 1895. As well, she maintains an active license with the California Department of Real Estate.

She is a founding board member of the faith-based organization, Women of Resolution, and is also a member of the Fairbanks Ranch Country Club where she is an avid golfer and enjoys spending time with family and friends. Her biggest joy is her two grown children, Stephen and Margaret, who both reside and work in California.
